Welcome to Yum and Yummer!
Yum and Yummer was started as my affinity for adventurous and comfort cooking grew to proportions that my Facebook could no longer handle. In fact, I’m pretty sure my friends thought I had morphed from a boy into delicious, edible treats, and that’s a little upsetting.
I was never really good at cooking when I was growing up, mostly because I was lazy, impatient, and didn’t understand the first thing about proper spice pairings, good nutrition, or the excitement I could possibly feel when using a brand new knife to slice and dice (it’s ecstasy, by the way.)
Through this blog I hope to share with you my culinary adventures as I delve into new recipes and cook up obscure, or even everyday familiar, meals. In addition, this blog will be comprised of recipes made completely from scratch, and nearly all local, organic produce and meats as availability allows. I hope to share some of my favorite recipes, include nutrition and food-based facts and anecdotes, and include you in on my ever-present — and sometimes uncouth and inappropriate — humor.
