In the top left corner, create the “star field” of the flag by neatly arranging the black olives into a square.
Using a small star-shaped cutter, carve out cheddar cheese stars from the slices. Place the stars on top of the olives to mimic the stars on the American flag.
Begin building the flag’s stripes across the platter. Alternate rows of halved cherry tomatoes and mini mozzarella balls, starting with red (cherry tomatoes) and continuing until the platter is filled.
Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to impress your guests!
