Ingredients
  

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • cup white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 40 g cocoa powder
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup chocolate chips
  • Pinch of salt
  • Candy eyes
  • White icing

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Stir in both sugars and mix until blended.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together melted butter, chocolate chips, and eggs.
  4. Gradually fold the dry mixture into the wet ingredients.
  5. Add vanilla extract and mix until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into a greased baking pan and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 30 minutes.
  7. Allow to cool slightly, then cut into squares.
  8. Melt white icing and spread or drizzle it across the brownie tops.
  9. Place candy eyes on each square while the icing is soft.
  10. Let set until firm, then serve.

Notes

  • To make toddler-friendly, you can skip the candy eyes and instead drizzle with plain icing. Always supervise young kids when serving decorated brownies, as candy decorations may pose a choking hazard.
  • Store brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
  • For a stronger chocolate flavor, add a tablespoon of espresso powder to the batter.
  • To make them extra gooey, under bake slightly and serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
