I’m Charis (or Charity, if we’re getting formal) – a proud mom of two young littles – my duo of chaos and cuddles. So, believe me when I say I understand how wild mealtimes can get. That’s exactly why I’m here: to help busy people like you get dinner on the table without the stress.

Back in 2011, my sister gave me the gentle push I needed to start this blog – and I haven’t looked back since. What began as a place to answer everyday food questions and share handy tips has become a one-stop source for home cooks of all levels.

Over time, Yum and Yummer evolved into something much bigger than I ever imagined. It’s now a hub for:

🍴 Charis — Founder / Editorial Director

Also known as Charity, she is the creative force behind Yum and Yummer. She started this blog to make cooking simple, joyful, and less chaotic for families everywhere. Her favorite kitchen tools? The Instant Pot and Air Fryer – no contest.

Fun Fact: Charis once made dinner with a baby strapped to her chest and another on her back – Instant Pot to the rescue!

📋 Tosin Atwood — Content Manager

Tosin is the calendar queen and the reason our content goes out on time. She manages the flow of everything – from ideas to published posts – making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

Fun Fact: Tosin keeps a color-coded paper planner and a digital calendar and always plans dinner ideas while updating the content schedule.

✍️ Paige Emmanuel — Writer

Paige brings flavor to the page with every post. Her passion for food storytelling and love for real-life meals make her recipes feel like home, because they are.

Fun Fact: Paige used to run a small meal prep service out of her apartment and still preps all her weekday lunches on Sundays.

Fun Fact: Joan drinks her morning tea with a side of editing and keeps a running list of favorite food puns on her phone.

Brendan turns dishes into works of art. His knack for lighting, angles, and mouth-watering imagery brings every recipe to life onscreen.

Fun Fact: Brendan once photographed an entire lasagna recipe using only natural light from his kitchen window and a white shower curtain as a reflector.

🎨 Eva Orji — Visual Editor

Eva makes sure everything you see reflects the Yum and Yummer brand. From bright, beautiful imagery to clean layouts, she’s the visual glue behind the scenes.

Fun Fact: Eva is a self-taught photo editor who started learning Lightroom by editing pictures of her mom’s Sunday dinners.
